Sun Facts
Remember to take care of your skin in the sun with these sun facts
- 1. Protect your skin daily
Sun protection keeps your skin looking its best – the harmful effects of UV rays continue to build up over time. Make sun care a part of your daily routine.
- 2. Be sure to apply enough
Your face requires about a teaspoon of sunscreen for the best coverage, while your arms and legs require about a tablespoon each. Adjust accordingly for the torso. For maximum protection, apply 15 – 30 minutes before indulging in the sun.
- 3. Reapply often, at least every two hours
Sweating, swimming and towel drying can remove sunscreen from your skin’s surface, so be sure to reapply when needed.
- 4. Remember that timing is everything
The sun is strongest between the hours of 10:00am – 3:00pm, so be sure to protect yourself during these hours.
